The Salesian Province of Kolkata bid a tearful farewell to Fr. Jacob Champanil SDB as his mortal remains were laid to rest at the Salesian cemetery at Basilica at 2.00 PM, on May 11, 2013. The Holy Eucharist was celebrated by Rt. Rev. Joseph Gomes, SDB the Bishop of Krishnagar with around 100 concelebrants.
