Marampudi Joji D.D, the Arch Bishop of Hyderabad,  a great friend of Salesians.  We pay homage with profound gratitude and deep sorrow. He died at around 6.00 pm this evening (27.08.2010) due to massive heart attack.

The six papers presented by the students themselves, formed the backbone of the symposium triggering an avalanche of questions and suggestions for immediate action.  This academic exercise was well coordinated and organized by the Principal of the College, Fr Wilson Jose.

Kids at St John`s, Kondadaba

The first major collective outreach programme for the neighbourhood, directed specifically towards the children, was held at St John`s Regional Seminary, Kondadaba on August 22, 2010.  Titled `Irugu Porugu` (immediate neighbourhood), the animation for the day witnessed 580 children, from 21 villages to which Seminarians visit every weekend, actively participate in the several activities of the programme.  Mr Rajanna, the MPDC (Official representative) of Kothavalasa Mandal was the chief guest of the inaugural function.

MISSION COMMISSION MEMBERS MEET

The meeting commenced at 3.00pm on 19 August 2010 in Don Bosco Provincial House, Hyderabad. Around ten members were present for the meeting.  Rev. Fr Balaraju Raminedi,  Provincial initiated the meeting by welcoming REV. FR. VACLAV KLEMENT SDB, the General Councilor for Salesian Mission. After that Fr. Provincial briefly presented the mission work that is being done in the province. After which, the meeting was coloured by the General Councillor. He invited the province to strengthen the formation and mission sectors and gave an insight into the new frontiers.
