A letter after the Rector Major`s visit to Haiti
</title>
<description>
``I have seen. I have heard. I understand. I have come down ... Go, set my people free`` (Exodus, 3, 7-8) In a few seconds a terrifying earthquake put us on our knees. Apocalyptic catastrophe. Ruins. Deaths. Cries. Weeping. Dismay. Desolation. Silence. Rebellion. Darkness. Trauma. Misery. Desperation. Hands stretched out to each other. Hands stretched out to the Lord. ``I have seen. I have heard. I understand. I have come down ... Go, set my people free`` (Exodus, 3, 7-8)...

Keynote Address - Fr.Maria Arokiam sdb
</title>
<description>
When I begin to think deeply of the theme, I am amused for two reasons. First of all, there is the ironical fact that we human beings have to defend the rights of our children. This problem is unique to humankind, the most evolved part of the animal kingdom gifted with knowledge, freedom and love. Among animals there is no need for defending their young from the adults. What an irony that among human beings this has to be done. The second reason for my surprise is the fact that the Salesians and members of the Salesian Family have to discuss how to defend the rights of children in a serious seminar!

INM Circular - November`09
</title>
<description>
Cordial greetings from the Citadel!

On the 11th of November, we commemorate the first missionary expedition of our Congregation. It is an occasion to pray for the Salesian missionaries all over the world.

.....Following the example of the Son of God, who made himself in all things like his fellow men, the Salesian missionary makes his own the values of these people and shares their hopes and anxieties. (Const. art. no. 30)

What are human rights
</title>
<description>
Human rights are those rights that belong to every individual—man or women, girl or boy, infant or elder—simply because she or he is a human being. They embody the basic standards without which people cannot realize their inherent human dignity.
